This is part of the Adobe Indian ruins at Petrified Forest National Park. Please, allow me a little rant here: If I petitioned to build a house on national parkland, even an attractive, tasteful one, I'd be laughed out of the office and the Bridge Club ladies would faint. Develop property in a national park? Perish the thought! Yet, if a house is sufficiently old (hundreds of years old in this case), the National Park Service builds access roads and people drive for miles around to see it, even if it's a crumbling ruin. I ask you, is this fair? I promise you, my house would look a lot nicer than this dump.
